About wristhomage

An independent database of watch homages — affordable watches that pay homage to iconic designs — ranked by a published fidelity rubric. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any watch brand, original or homage.

How we make money

wristhomage is reader-supported. Some “Shop” links are affiliate links: for brands sold on Amazon (Pagani Design, Invicta, Seiko, Casio, Timex, Steeldive and others) we use the Amazon Associates programme, and we may earn a commission if you buy through them — at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

The links that are not affiliate

Many of the best homages come from brands with no affiliate programme and no Amazon presence — Steinhart, San Martin, Sugess, Baltany and similar. Their “Shop” links are plain, non-affiliate searches, clearly marked, and we earn nothing from them. In many cases those watches are cheaper bought direct or on AliExpress than through any marked-up reseller, and we say so on the page. The community already knows this; pretending otherwise would cost us more than the commission is worth.

Affiliate status never touches a score

Every fidelity score is set from the rubric before any buy link is attached. A brand being on Amazon, or paying a higher rate, never moves a number or a ranking. If it ever did, this whole site would be worthless.

Homage, not replica

We cover homages: watches that borrow design language without carrying another brand's name or logo, which is legal and openly traded (Timex, Bulova and Steinhart all sell homages). We never cover or link replicas, counterfeits, or “super clones” — watches that fake trademarks. That is a different, illegal thing, and it is not welcome here. See homage vs replica for where the line sits.
